The fashion for these massive rings with regular, geometric shapes took hold in the late 1930s, and flourished in the 1950s. The symmetrical Art Deco style was reinterpreted in a stronger and bolder way. The name tank probably originates from the association of the ring's shape with the mark left by the caterpillar of a moving tank. The main role in this model is played by gold.
