To improve durability and clarity, many emeralds undergo oiling or the filling of micro-fractures with special substances. This is a widely accepted practice.

Description
Handcrafted stud earrings made of 585 gold with natural emeralds. The stones are precisely set in delicate prongs, which enhance their brilliance and allow light to freely pass through the emeralds, bringing out their natural color and depth. The diameter of the stone in the setting is approx. 0.5 cm.
The earrings are fastened with comfortable butterfly backs, also made of 585 gold. Their minimalist form makes them comfortable to wear and easy to pair with everyday outfits, while also working perfectly as a subtle accent for more elegant occasions.
Stone weight: ~ 0.45 ct
The color of the stones may slightly differ from that shown in the photos.
Emeralds, which are a variety of beryl, are known for their deep green color, which they owe to the presence of chromium and vanadium. Emeralds often contain inclusions—natural “marks” formed during the stone’s creation, known as “jardins” (from the French word for “gardens”). This name refers to the complex and often beautiful patterns created by inclusions inside the stone. These “gardens” are unique to each emerald, making every stone one of a kind.
Inclusions are an integral part of the nature of emeralds, adding character and charm to them.
Emeralds have a hardness of 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale, which means they are relatively hard, but not as hard as diamonds or sapphires. Despite their hardness, due to the presence of inclusions and natural brittleness, emeralds are very demanding when it comes to setting.
