Description
Three vintage-inspired ring designs were created from the desire to craft jewelry that refuses to be modest — pieces meant to draw the eye, spark the imagination, and linger in memory. They are not minimalist; instead, they are sensual, expressive, and full of character. I wanted the rings to feel bold, substantial, and sculptural — pieces you immediately feel on your hand.
They were designed to evoke the spirit of past decades while maintaining modern form and balanced proportions. They feel like objects — something that could have belonged to someone half a century ago, yet remains entirely current. Their defining quality is the sculptural plasticity of form: deep grooves, rounded edges, rhythmic lines, and soft transitions of light across the surface that create a sense of movement. Each ring has a different texture — sometimes softly undulating, sometimes geometrically grooved — yet all share the same philosophy: jewelry that looks discovered, not bought.
This ring is crafted from 925 sterling silver, inspired by the forms of classic vintage jewelry. The design references historic rings with strong, sculptural volumes, reinterpreted in a contemporary form.
The top of the ring features a rounded, smoothly polished surface, paired with a ribbed band defined by a regular rhythm. The contrast between smooth form and pronounced structure brings order to the composition and gives the ring its distinctive character.
The vintage inspiration is evident in the proportions and the method of shaping the form, while the overall design remains rooted in contemporary aesthetics. The ring is finished with an anti-tarnish coating, which helps slow down silver oxidation and makes everyday care easier.
